Congratulations to Julianne Walther, a 2017 ATHENAPowerLink® recipient.

Julianne Walther began quilting over 25 years ago, and has been sewing since childhood. She started her first custom quilt-making business from home in 2005. She founded Cary Quilting Company, her retail quilting supplies shop in January 2013, and the business recently expanded, moving to a new larger location.

Julianne is a happily married mother of 4 great teenagers, and enjoys running when she's not working or parenting.

Congratulations to Mikki Paradis, a 2017 ATHENAPowerLink® recipient.

Mikki Paradis began PDI Drywall Inc. in 2005 and serves as the CEO and President. Mikki graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Political Science in 2005. Mikki has been a leader in drywall recycling, implementing processes to reduce the impact of her trade on the local environment. She also uses only the most sustainable and durable products, thus reducing landfill waste.

Mikki is also very active in the community by working with several organizations that help support children. She currently serves on the Triangle Regional Advisory Committee for The Queens Foundation and volunteers for The Miracle League of the Triangle for 10 years. In 2014, she was recognized as the North Carolina’s Small Business Person of the Year.
